Zach Braff Talks About The Joys And Perils Of Kickstarting A Film

Zach Braff recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a “tonal sequel” to Garden State titled “Wish I Was Here”. To date he has raised almost $2.5 million of his $2 million goal. Despite plenty of support from fans there have also been those who think Kickstarter should be for those without access to Hollywood money and that projects like Braff’s or Rob Thomas’ merely suck funding away from the truly deserving projects.

Braff gave an interview to Kickstarted in which he discusses the process of Kickstarting his film, responds to some of the critics, and talks about how he also sees it as more than just making a movie, that the community aspect of the backers is also important.
